Maintenance Worker
Denton Bible Church is seeking to hire a full-time Maintenance Worker with the following responsibilities:
- Complete routine repairs and maintenance, consisting of basic lighting replacement, furniture repair and installation, wall and door repair and painting, plumbing fixture repair, suspended ceiling repair and installation, and floor tile and carpet repair.
- Perform routine electrical, HVAC, structural, security and fire systems, and landscape system repairs.
- Respond to maintenance calls and daily work order requests, which may include but are not limited to responding to climate control issues, equipment failures, elevator malfunctions, loss of electrical power, plumbing problems, reconfiguration of office furniture, and surplus furniture management.
- Perform preventive maintenance of assigned equipment and systems.
- Inform the Facilities Director of progress, delays, and any problems that occur during maintenance, repairs, or anything affecting the infrastructure.
- Coordinates and inspects major contract work on the electrical, plumbing, mechanical and other related systems.
- Ensure that all equipment, tools, and materials used during maintenance functions are suitable, safe, and in accordance with relevant standards.
- Complete miscellaneous carpentry work and perform other ad-hoc maintenance and construction projects as assigned.
- Complete ground tasks not handled by contract services.
- Other duties as assigned.
