Position Title: Technology Coordinator
Work Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours
Position Description:
Responsible for the management and support of all the communication technology needs of Denton Bible Church which includes all computer and peripheral support, Internet, site networking, website technology, and phone systems.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of all aspects of network and server system performance, configuration, maintenance and repair. Works with contractors and vendors to assist support activities.
- Responsible for phone systems, including network architectural planning, technology upgrades, and troubleshooting as well as the coordination of repairs.
- Develop procedures to maintain security and protect systems from unauthorized use, acts of nature and user abuse. Responsible for ensuring all systems have both anti-virus and accountability software installed and current.
- Provide recommendations for purchase of new hardware and software. Advise leadership on technology-related requests and recommend actions.
- Ensure that data backups are performed on regular schedule and media is rotated both internally and off-site.
- Replacement and installation of all computers, phones, and printers.
- Coordinate all network wiring changes, additions, and repairs.
- Document support activities in the Tech Support ticketing system.
- Serve as help desk contact point for users.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Information Technology or related field.
- PC and network certification plus 2 years of related network experience in a campus environment.
- Experience in multiple areas of technology beyond computers and networking, including VOIP.
- Familiar with wireless networking of both PCs and Macs.
- Ability to document networks and create and maintain procedures for insuring the security and reliability of both phone and computer networks. Ability to follow written and verbal direction.
- Member of Denton Bible Church or willing to become one.
